Imagine 10 acres with 40% native/protected, 2 acres disturbed, and 0.5 acres restored. Non-native equivalent is 6 acres. Net disturbance is 1.5. Pressure score is 7.5 acre-equivalent. If restoration rises to 3 acres, net disturbance is −1, and the pressure score becomes 6—the non-native equivalent alone—because surplus restoration does not reduce that term in this model. The worksheet never claims which species benefit.
