Road and city trips usually fail the budget in the same three places: nightly lodging extras, rental add-ons, and optimistic drive times. These worksheets keep each job separate so you can paste a quote without mixing fuel, flights, and hotels into one opaque number.

Lodging = rate × nights × rooms. Per-night resort fees scale the same way. Tax percent applies to lodging plus resort fees; cleaning or similar one-time fees are added afterward. If your quote taxes differently, adjust the inputs rather than forcing the worksheet to invent local rules.

Daily rate and insurance multiply by days. One-way fees and other fees sit on the subtotal. If included miles are limited, overage miles × per-mile charge join before the tax/airport-fee percent. Unlimited mileage is modeled by setting included miles at or above expected miles—or treating overage as zero when your contract says unlimited.

Driving hours = distance ÷ average speed. Fixed breaks and optional rests every N hours increase total clock time. Choose an average speed that already includes the congestion you expect; the calculator will not correct a hopeful freeway-only number.
